Agricultural Applications

Remote-Control Mowing for Orchards, Groves and Farms

Mow between rows, manage sloped ground and keep the operator away from the mower while actively controlling every movement.

Where remote mowing can help

Orchards, avocado groves, vineyards and small farms often combine narrow access, uneven soil, irrigation components and vegetation that changes throughout the season. A compact remote-control mower can give the operator a clear view of the working area without requiring the person to ride on the machine or push it across the slope.

Common agricultural applications

  • Grass and weed management between orchard or vineyard rows.
  • Mowing around established trees while protecting trunks, roots and irrigation.
  • Working on sloped or uneven areas where conventional equipment is uncomfortable to use.
  • Maintaining access paths, fence lines and edges of production blocks.
  • Reducing repeated hand mowing on suitable areas of smaller agricultural properties.

Site conditions matter

Before choosing a mower, evaluate row width, turning space, slope, soil condition, exposed roots, rocks, irrigation lines, emitters, stakes, drop-offs and vegetation density. Remote operation improves operator positioning, but it does not eliminate the need for careful site assessment and active control.

Choosing between S1 2WD and 4WD

The S1 2WD is intended for flatter blocks and gentle slopes up to its published 45% grade (24°) limit. The S1 4WD is the stronger fit for steeper, rougher or lower-traction agricultural ground. S1 4WD ratings vary by wheel package from 75% (37°) to 119% (50°).

What the Mowrator is—and is not

The Mowrator S1 is remote-controlled, not autonomous. The operator remains responsible for steering, blade engagement, clearance from people and obstacles, and evaluating changing ground conditions. It should not be represented as a driverless or self-navigating agricultural robot.

Demonstrations for Southern California growers

Greenland Robotics is based in San Diego County and understands the access, terrain and weed-management challenges found on Southern California groves and small farms. Request an in-person demonstration to discuss the intended block, transport, runtime, wheel package and cutting requirements.
