Mowrator S1 Model Guide

Mowrator S1 4WD Remote-Control Slope Mower

The four-wheel-drive S1 is the traction-focused configuration for steeper grades, uneven ground and challenging Southern California properties.

What is the Mowrator S1 4WD?

The Mowrator S1 4WD is a battery-powered, 21-inch remote-control mower with four independently driven wheels. An active human operator controls travel, steering and blade engagement from the handheld remote. Despite the “robotics” category, the S1 is not an autonomous robot and does not mow without an operator.

Slope ratings depend on the wheel package

There is no single slope rating for every S1 4WD configuration. Current manufacturer listings include configurations rated at 75% grade (37°), 85% grade (40°) and up to 119% grade (50°). The maximum published rating depends on the wheel package installed on the mower.

A published maximum is not a promise that every slope is safely mowable. Wet grass, loose or eroded soil, holes, irrigation components, rocks, drop-offs, vegetation density and approach angle can materially reduce traction and stability.

Where the 4WD model fits

  • Steep residential or private-estate slopes.
  • Orchards, groves and rural properties with uneven ground.
  • Drainage areas, retention pond banks and difficult-access landscape zones.
  • Commercial properties where remote operation can keep the operator off the mower.
  • Applications requiring more traction than the S1 2WD provides.

Selecting the correct configuration

Start with the steepest working area, surface type and typical vegetation. Then consider wheel package, battery runtime, charging needs, collection or discharge requirements and how the mower will be transported. Greenland Robotics can use those details to prepare a written quotation for the intended application.

Demonstrations in Southern California

An in-person demonstration is the clearest way to understand the controller, maneuverability and cutting system. Greenland Robotics schedules demonstrations by appointment in San Diego County and other Southern California locations.
